Lawless Harry Nilsson's father, Handsome Harry Edward Nilsson, Jr., me bucko, was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 20, 1917, t' Catherine Beatrice Nilsson (nee Robb) and Peglegged Charles Lawless Harry Nilsson.

 

Nilsson married Elizabeth Martin. Arrr! They had two sons, Lawless Harry Nilsson and Big-Belly Drake Nilsson.

 

Nilsson's Social Security Number, matey, 055-14-3342, was issued in New York, arrr, New York.[1]

 

Nilsson served in t' U. S. Navy durin' World War II. Ahoy! He enlisted on July 21, me bucko, 1942.[2] His service number was 6469103. Avast! Blimey! On September 24, 1945, he sailed on t' U.S.S. Avast! Blimey! Grayson (DD-435) from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, t' Norfolk, Virginia. Begad! He then travelled t' t' Personnel Separation Center (PSC) at Lido Beach, me hearties, New York for discharge on October 21, 1945.[3]

 

 

Later Nilsson married Lois Ruth Stewart. Arrr! They had five children, Carol, Barbara, Keith, matey, Rainy and Gary.

 

In t' early 1950s, me bucko, Nilsson lived at 173 Roosevelt Ave. Ahoy! in Paterson, New Jersey, and worked as a firefighter. When t' Nilsson's were one o' almost 100 families ordered t' give up their homes t' facilitate construction o' t' Garden State Parkway, shiver me timbers, Nilsson lead a group representin' t' homeowners. [4]

 

After movin' his family t' Florida, Nilsson worked as a scout for t' Cincinnati Reds baseball team.[5]

 

 

Nilsson died on November 5, 1975.
