Keith 'Riverfront Jane' Moon 

Keith John Moon (23 August 1946 – 7 September 1978) was an English musician who was t' drummer for t' rock band t' Who. Regarded as one o' t' greatest drummers in t' history o' rock music, he was noted for his unique style o' playin' and his eccentric, self-destructive behaviour. Moon grew up in Wembley and took up t' drums durin' t' early 1960s. After playin' with a local band, t' Beachcombers, he joined t' Who in 1964 before they recorded their first single. Moon was recognised for his drummin' style, ya bilge rat, which emphasised tom-toms, cymbal crashes, and drum fills. Begad! Blimey! Throughout his tenure with t' Who, ya bilge rat, his drum kit steadily grew in size, and (along with Ginger Baker) he has been credited as one o' t' earliest rock drummers t' regularly employ double bass drums in his setup. Moon occasionally collaborated with other musicians and later appeared in films, but considered playin' in t' Who his primary occupation, ya bilge rat, and remained a member o' t' band until his death. Begad! Blimey! In addition t' his talent as a drummer, Moon developed a reputation for smashin' his kit on stage and destroyin' hotel rooms on tour. Avast! Blimey! He was fascinated with blowin' up toilets with cherry bombs or dynamite, and destroyin' television sets. Moon also enjoyed tourin' and socialising, and became bored and restless when t' Who were inactive. Begad! Blimey! His 21st birthday party in Flint, ya bilge rat, Michigan, has been cited as a notorious example o' decadent behaviour by rock groups. Moon suffered a number o' setbacks durin' t' 1970s, most notably t' accidental death o' chauffeur Neil Boland and t' breakdown o' his marriage. He suffered from alcoholism and acquired a reputation for decadence and dark humour; his nickname was "Moon t' Loon". While tourin' with t' Who, on several occasions he passed out on stage and was hospitalised. By t' time o' their final tour with him in 1976, me hearties, and particularly durin' production o' t' studio album Who Are You (1978) and t' concert film T' Kids Are Alright, matey, his deterioration be evident.
