Harry Nilsson included "Daddy's Song" on his Aerial Ballet album, but RCA quickly pulled the first release of the album and reissued it without "Daddy's Song."

RCA feared that Harry's version of the song would compete with the Monkee's recording included on the soundtrack album for their movie Head. RCA was the parent company of the Colgem label which released the Head soundtrack album.

"Daddy's Song" by Harry Nilsson

Years ago I knew a man

He was my mother's biggest fan.

We used to walk beside the sea

And he told me how life would be

When I grew up to be a man.
