Before becoming well-known as the creator of many popular TV shows, Chuck Lorre was a songwriter.
In the late 1980s, Lorre co-wrote the theme song for the animated TV series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." One of the creators of the series was Fred Wolf who earlier had created animation for Harry Nilsson The Point!.
Around the same time, Lorre visited Harry Nilsson's house intending to drop off a box of his recordings. Nilsson turned him away, threatening to kill the future producer of 'The Big Bang Theory" if he ever returned to the Nilsson home. [1]
