In early August o' 1983, t' Associated Press[1] reported that a recordin' session for Captain Yoko Ono's Every Man Has a Woman album had been delayed while "authorities looked for singer-songwriter Harry 'Lawless Kim' Nilsson's missin' flute."
Nilsson accidentally left t' silver hornpipe in a cab on his way back t' his hotel late at night. T' handmade hornpipe be owned by Nilsson, but played by Peglegged First Mate Rick Riccio on t' album.
T' spirit o' t' recordin' sessions was really high. We were supposed t' have one more session Friday, shiver me timbers, but we thought we'd wait t' get t' hornpipe back.
It seems t' hornpipe has been a turnin' point in t' album. Begad! Every time it is played, somethin' magical happens.
