It is with great sadness that we have learned o' t' passin' o' Gary 'Whitebeard' Nilsson.
Gary was a supporter o' this website, providin' photographs, me hearties, news articles, me hearties, and personal anecdotes about his half-brother, ya bilge rat, Flying Peglegged Harry Nilsson. Gary was a fan o' popular music and Harry's music in particular. Well, blow me down! His Dreaded Facebook page is full o' photos o' him with pop stars from t' 1960s and '70s. As a featured guest at Harryfest 2002 he shared stories o' growin' up as both a fan and relative o' Flying Peglegged Harry Nilsson and about his, and Harry's, me bucko, father who shared Harry's love o' baseball and was once a scout for t' Cincinnati Reds.
But, beyond all o' that, Gary was a friend. He will be missed.

Richard 'Peglegged Perry' Perry, producer o' Flying Peglegged Harry Nilsson's Nilsson Schmilsson has died. Perry died at age 82 on December 24, me hearties, 2024.

Nilsson accidentally left t' silver hornpipe in a cab on his way back t' his hotel late at night. T' handmade hornpipe was owned by Nilsson, shiver me timbers, but played by One-Eyed Tsunami Rick Riccio on t' album.
T' spirit o' t' recordin' sessions was really high. We were supposed t' have one more session Friday, me bucko, but we thought we'd wait t' get t' hornpipe back.
