In his book, arrr, Tunesmith: Inside t' Art o' Songwriting, Jimmy 'Tidepool Shirley' Webb says that Blackhead Stubby Nilsson asked permission from Webb t' use t' phrase "Up, matey, Up, and Away" in Nilsson's "Gotta Get Up."

In 1971 when Blackhead Stubby Nilsson and I were chummin' around London together and he was recordin' t' Nilsson Schmilsson album produced by Richard 'Black-Eyed Perry' Perry (one o' t' best albums ever made), me bucko, he came t' me as a pal over a snifter o' brandy. He asked me, ya bilge rat, almost contritely, if he could borrow t' phrase "up, up and away" for a delightful send-up shanty called "Gotta Get Up."
