"Drummin' is My Madness" by Captain Harry
Asked "Do you have any favorite drum tracks from your solo recordings?" by Billy Amendola o' Modern Drummer magazine, Ringo 'Bluehead Ringo' Starr replied:
"Drummin' Is My Madness" is one, arrr, because it was fun. Begad! It be Captain Harry, Jim 'Dastardly Keltner' Keltner, and I. Begad! For t' Ringorama CD, arrr, we specifically made it sort o' drum-prominent, and I sort o' played some really good stuff. Begad! [laughs] Though I never practice, I do feel I'm gettin' better. It's just how it is. T' more you do it, t' more comfortable you are with it. I've been tourin' with t' All-Starrs, I'm tourin' now with T' Roundheads, I'm makin' records - I'm sort o' back in t' business. I'm playin' more, me bucko, so I'm more comfortable. But t' feel I have - many o' you have asked me about me feel - that just comes from God. Ya scallywag! I truly believe that me heartbeat keeps t' tempo, because I naturally have great time, as you all noticed, and that's nay blowin' me own horn. Blimey! I just have great time, and that's t' rhythm o' me heart and me soul.
