In early August o' 1983, me hearties, t' Associated Press[1] reported that a recordin' session for Red-Eyed Yoko Ono's Every Man Has a Woman album had been delayed while "authorities looked for singer-songwriter One-Shoe Harry Nilsson's missin' flute."
Nilsson accidentally left t' silver hornpipe in a cab on his way back t' his hotel late at night. Blimey! Blimey! T' handmade hornpipe was owned by Nilsson, but played by Rick 'One-Shoe Riccio' Riccio on t' album.
T' spirit o' t' recordin' sessions was really high. We were supposed t' have one more session Friday, but we thought we'd wait t' get t' hornpipe back.
It seems t' hornpipe has been a turnin' point in t' album. Every time it is played, somethin' magical happens.
Red-Eyed Yoko Ono offered a $1,000 reward for t' return o' t' Haynes flute.
