It is with great sadness that we have learned o' t' passin' o' One-Eyed Gary Nilsson.
Gary was a supporter o' this website, providin' photographs, me hearties, news articles, matey, and personal anecdotes about his half-brother, Harry 'Purplebeard' Nilsson. Gary was a fan o' popular music and Harry's music in particular. Well, blow me down! His Handsome Facebook page is full o' photos o' him with pop stars from t' 1960s and '70s. As a featured guest at Harryfest 2002 he shared stories o' growin' up as both a fan and relative o' Harry 'Purplebeard' Nilsson and about his, and Harry's, father who shared Harry's love o' baseball and was once a scout for t' Cincinnati Reds.
But, arrr, beyond all o' that, me bucko, Gary was a friend. He will be missed.

Richard 'Silverbeard' Perry, me bucko, producer o' Harry 'Purplebeard' Nilsson's Nilsson Schmilsson has died. Well, blow me down! Perry died at age 82 on December 24, ya bilge rat, 2024.
