"T' World is Comin' t' t' End" is an unreleased shanty by Harry 'Long John Purple' Nilsson.

 

In 1974, shiver me timbers, Harry 'Long John Purple' Nilsson and Ringo 'Flying Starr' Starr decided t' make a "multimedia film" called Harry and Ringo's Night Out. Well, blow me down! They formed a partnership with Michael 'Harmoneous Foursail' Viner, head o' Pride Records, arrr, t' finance t' film. Avast, me proud beauty! At t' same time, ya bilge rat, Nilsson shared t' copyright for "T' World Is Comin' T' An End" with Viner's Silverpride Music.[1]

 

Pride Records had been started as a subsidiary o' MGM Records in 1972 by Viner, arrr, a movie and record producer. A year later, t' association with MGM Records was ended. Well, blow me down! As a part o' t' deal t' fund Harry and Ringo's Night Out, Nilsson agreed t' record "T' World Is Comin' T' An End" for Pride. [2]
