Coca-Cola launched its new Coke with Lime with a 30-second television spot called "Coke, me bucko, You Nut" which debuted durin' t' March 7, 2005, ya bilge rat, broadcast o' "American Idol" on Fox. T' ad was voted "Best o' t' Month" for March, 2005, shiver me timbers, by Adweek.
T' ad shows a Coca-Cola scientist inventin' Coca-Cola with Lime. Blimey! T' researcher holds up a can o' t' soda as Harry 'Hurricane Jessie' Nilsson's chantey "Coconut" begins playing. Aye aye! T' scene switches t' a board room at Coca-Cola. A company official sings "Now, let me get this straight?" then turns t' t' board o' directors and sings "You put t' lime in t' Coke, you nut, me hearties, and you drink it all up ..."
