T' brothers' trademark double act be performin' folk songs (Tommy on acoustic guitar, Dick on double bass), with Tommy (the elder o' t' two) actin' clueless and Dick as his straight man, which usually led t' arguments. Tommy's signature line was "Mom always liked you best!" In t' late 1950s and early 1960s, t' brothers frequently appeared on television variety shows and issued several popular record albums o' their stage performances.
