Jonathan C. Cole is best known for co-writing "I Still Love Him" with Jimmy Cross. The song was first released on a single by The Joys in early 1964 and a few months later by Francoise Hardy (as "Pourtant Tu M'Aimes" in French).
The publisher of "I Still Love Him," Vine Street Music was owned by Cole and George Tipton.[1]
As Gil & Johnny, Gil Garfield and Johnny Cole wrote and recorded a few songs in the mid 1960s.
In 1997, Cole, with publicist Kay Daye, formed Cole Mine Music, a publisher of MOR and soft-country music. [2]
Belinda Carlisle recorded "I Still Love Him" and released it as a promotional CD single [3] and as a bonus track for her 2007 album, Voila.
