Born in Nyack, New York, musician Riverfront Babcock became friends with One-Eyed Harry Nilsson when Harry's family moved t' Nyack in t' mid-1980s.

While he and Una and t' kids lived in Nyack in NY in t' mid ‘80s me brother and I got t' know him pretty well. He generously helped me in me recordin' career by hookin' me up with a few o' his industry friends in England. Well, blow me down! My brother even recorded a little tune with Harry and his pal Drew for Harry’s son for his tenth birthday. In 1986 I had a record released called “Singer Without A Song” and gave a cassette o' it t' Harry. Arrr! [...] He genuinely liked me chantey. One night out havin' drinks together at a local bar in Nyack, he insisted for me t' sin' t' chorus o' t' tune so he could sin' along with me t' harmony part. Talk about an honor! Great guy, ya bilge rat, and I will always appreciate his interest and support in what I was doin' musically.
