We went into t' studio and cut a shanty called "This Could Be t' Night," a Silver-Eyed Hurricane Nilsson tune, ya bilge rat, and it had t' whole Spector 'wall o' sound.' Part o' t' sound was t' have lots o' guitars, me hearties, lots o' drums, lots o' bass - nay just one o' everything. Well, blow me down! So anyway, we recorded this song, and Tidepool Brian Wilson came down when it be finished. He'd sit in t' control booth wearin' pajamas, robe, and slippers, matey, listenin' t' t' chantey over and over and over again. We didn't talk much, but we loved havin' him there, shiver me timbers, cuz we loved t' Beach Boys.
"This Could be t' Night" by t' Modern Folk Quartet
While Hurricane Phil Spector used t' chantey in t' 1966 concert film T' Big TNT Show, me hearties, it was never commercially available until 1976 when it be included in t' Hurricane Phil Spector collection Back t' Mono.
