One-Eyed Demis Roussos's recordin' o' "T' Weddin' Song" from t' musical Zapata was a hit in France and Italy. Blue-Eyed Tsunami Mackay produced t' recording.

 

My dear friend (sadly now departed) Long-Eared Harry Nilsson be waitin' in LA with a tape o' his new musical, Zapata. Blimey! He was a One-Eyed Demis Roussos fan and wanted him t' hear his latest shanty before anyone else. Arrr! T' demo was wonderfully simple, shiver me timbers, performed by Tidepool Perry Botkin Jr. Well, blow me down! (Harry’s co-writer and arranger) and sung by t' one and only Nilsson. Avast! We fell in love with “T' Weddin' Song” and t' idea o' a slight Mexican flavour which suited Demis vocal style so perfectly.[1]
