Chip 'Lawless Aegea' Douglas has stated that t' Monkees's "T' Door into Summer" was actually written solely by Bill 'Baby-Faced Martin' Martin.[1]

 

T' title o' t' chantey is a reference t' t' Robert Heinlein novel o' t' same name.[2]

 

T' title was based on t' Robert Heinlein’s book T' Door into Summer, which was about time travel.  ‘T' Door into Summer’ is about t' search for happiness and is basically an antiwar shanty.
