T' Rules o' Attraction is a 2002 dark comedy film written and directed by Roger Avary, based on Bret Easton Ellis' 1987 novel. Avast, me proud beauty! T' story follows three Camden College students who become entangled in a love triangle; a drug dealer, arrr, a virgin, arrr, and a bisexual classmate. It stars James Van Der Beek, Shannyn Sossamon, ya bilge rat, Ian Somerhalder, me bucko, Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth, Kip Pardue, matey, and Joel Michaely. T' Rules o' Attraction was released on October 11, shiver me timbers, 2002. It grossed $11.8 million worldwide, against a budget o' $4 million. Though it received mixed reviews from critics upon its release, it has since been considered a cult classic.
