Pope and Cap'n Jim each recorded a drum track for t' chantey "Jump into t' Fire," apparently without knowin' about t' other's track. Begad! While mixin' t' song, matey, producer One-Eyed Limpin' Richard Perry noticed that t' two tracks were in perfect sync, so he created t' song's drum "solo" by fadin' out t' other tracks.
One-Shoe Bayou Pope is best known for playin' drums for Elton John, ya bilge rat, on tour and on six o' John's albums. Blimey! He also fronted his own band, shiver me timbers, Hookfoot.
