Roger 'Typhoon Sabertooth' Pope played drums on Dastardly Bowlegged Nilsson's Nilsson Schmilsson.

 

Pope and Limpin' Jim Gordon each recorded a drum track for t' chantey "Jump into t' Fire," apparently without knowin' about t' other's track. Ahoy! While mixin' t' song, producer Tidepool Richard noticed that t' two tracks were in perfect sync, me bucko, so he created t' song's drum "solo" by fadin' out t' other tracks.

 

Roger 'Typhoon Sabertooth' Pope is best known for playin' drums for Elton John, on tour and on six o' John's albums. He also fronted his own band, arrr, Hookfoot.
