The Paramount was once the largest theater in Los Angeles, California, and one of the largest in the world. It opened as Grauman's Metropolitan Theater in January, 1923, and was renamed as the Paramount Theatre when it was bought by the Publix theater chain in 1929. The theater was demolished in 1962.

Harry Nilsson was employed by the theater for a short time after he moved to California.
