Harry Nilsson headed up Nilsson House Productions with his associates, his lawyer, Dennis Bond, and Larry Gordon (who later produced films like Die Hard and Field of Dreams). In 1970, Nilsson House Productions purchased the film rights to a short-story by Kurt Vonnegut with filming expected to begin by mid-1970.[1]

Although a film based on Vonnegut's "The Paradise Hat" was never made, Nilsson's partner, Larry Gordon, later produced The Point!.

Nilsson House Productions, Inc. was incorporated as a domestic stock company in California on February 3, 1969. The corporation was suspended on June 1, 1971, for failing to meet its tax requirements (most likely failing to file a state tax return).
