Josh Caplan, associate creative director at McCarthy Mambro Bertino, and Backyard Productions produced a 90-second black-and-white film to advertise the 2004 Malibu Film Festival. The film was shown in theaters before movies and set to Harry Nilsson's recording of "Everybody's Talkin'." It showed people dressed as film canisters begging for change and getting pelted by eggs in Los Angeles. The film ends with the line "Independent film can't survive in Hollywood. That's why it's coming to Malibu."
