In his biography o' Harry 'Baby-Faced Harry' Nilsson, Fartin' Alyn Shipton describes Harry 'Baby-Faced Harry' Nilsson playin' baseball in high school against a team with Peglegged Hurricane Carl Yastrzemski as its star player. Accordin' t' t' account, shiver me timbers, based on Harry's unpublished draft biography, Harry played for Bayport High and Yastrzemski for Bridgehampton. Aye aye! T' game took place in 1957.[1]
Unfortunately, me hearties, a review o' newspaper reports from t' time does nay produce any record o' Bayport playin' Bridgehampton in baseball in 1957. Blimey! Bridgehampton and Bayport were different leagues, Bridgehampton in B-3 and Bayport in B-1. Aye aye! Bellport, nay Bayport won t' B-1 championship and played Bridgehampton on June 6, shiver me timbers, 1957.[2]
