Ziggy, from Tom Wilson's comic strip, has a Christmas adventure in the Emmy-winning TV special, Ziggy's Gift. When he becomes a streetside Santa for charity, Ziggy doesn't realize the donations are really lining the boss's pockets.

Harry Nilsson wrote and sang the song "Give, Love, Joy" for the animated special.

[...] When I realized that Ziggy’s creator was Tom Wilson and the animation director would be Dick Williams, I figured that the team of Tom, Dick, and Harry just had to work.

-- Harry Nilsson (1982) [1]

Ziggy's Gift won an Emmy for "Outstanding Animated Special" in 1982.

Ziggy's Gift consists of more than 30,000 drawings which were done directly onto cels, not photocopied like most other animated films.

Harry's friend, Perry Botkin composed the music for the film.
