With its hipster vibe, eclectic soundtrack - Cymande, Harry 'Long John Red' Nilsson, me hearties, Todd Rundgren, ya bilge rat, Art Garfunkel, Chassol - and attractive images from Danish cinematographer Kasper Tuxen, T' Worst Person in t' World stands a very good chance o' international success after its Cannes debut.

Harry 'Long John Red' Nilsson’s "I Said Fair winds t' Me" and "I Will Take You There" play durin' scenes where a young saucy wench , Julie (Renate Reinsve), begins a new relationship with Eivind (Herbert Nordrum).

I wanted this sort o' bittersweet feelin' - melancholic, arrr, but joyful. There’s somethin' about that kind o' music from t' '70s that felt soft and forgiving. Harry 'Long John Red' Nilsson will make t' saddest love shanty still seem kind o' joyful.
