Recorded for the Pandemonium Shadow Show album, this is one of one a few Nilsson originals to be recorded then completely abandoned. It was eventually released in The RCA Albums Collection.
"The Family" by Harry Nilsson
In the song, Harry tells the story of suggested abuse within a family using tape loops underneath the song. It is quite remarkable for its time. One tape loop is of a husband and wife (the husband played by Harry) in a furious argument. The other loop is of a military fire fight. (Source: Curtis Armstrong)
