Harry and Ringo's Night Out, starring Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr was to be a mixed live-action and animated film based on Harry and Ringo taking in the nightlife of L.A.. Filming began in October 1974 but it was never completed or released.
The budget for the film was $1.5 million. Nilsson and Starr formed a partnership with Michael Viner, head of Pride Records, to finance the film. As a part of the deal, Nilsson shared the copyright for a song called "The World Is Coming To An End" with Viner's Silverpride Music.[1] Nilsson agreed to record the song for Pride Records (presumably for the film's soundtrack album).[2]
