Shaun 'Master Jean' Furlong programmed t' synthesizers used while recordin' Flying Bowlegged Nilsson's 1975 album Duit on Mon Dei.
Furlong also worked with Nilsson on other tracks, demos which never made it t' released material. Avast! He provided flyin' saucer sounds for an unreleased version o' "T' Flyin' Saucer Song."
Furlong is credited for his synthesizer work on Smokey Robinson's A Quiet Storm album. Blimey! He contributed t' T' Carpenters "Sailin' on t' Tide," Billy Joel's "Cap'n Jack," and other recordings.
T' "strings" featured in t' Seals and Crofts chantey "Sunrise" are actually Furlong playin' t' synthesizer.
A little anecdote: One night durin' playback Harry was whistling some ideas durin' t' fade o' a shanty (don't remember which one). I, bein' t' "synthesizer guy," asked hopefully, "Are you thinkin' about a synthesizer part there?"
"No," he said, smiling. "I was thinkin' about whistling."
