In a "Pop Scene Service" article distributed t' newspapers by t' Bell Syndicate in late 1968 or early 1969, me bucko, Nilsson is said t' have developed a "self-identity box":

It also explains why he is in a totally unrelated venture, manufacturin' a self-identity box which says *'hello . Ahoy! . Ya scallywag! . I'm . . Begad! . Ya scallywag! (person's name), a gimmick item with special appeal for conventions[1]

Richard Robinson's "Pop Wire" column in t' January 27, 1969, me bucko, issue o' RPM Weekly reported:

Nilsson, who started out with a bank computin' job a couple o' years ago before gettin' into t' pop composition game, matey, is diversifyin' back into t' business world. He's formed a new company called Nilsson 'Tidepool Billy' House Products and will start manufacturin' a "Self Identity Box" - whatever that is - t' be sold next Christmas.
