In t' film, Maddalena (Sophia 'Long-Eared Loren' Loren) is in love with a married man, Michel (Gigi Proietti) who has moved t' t' United States. She follows him t' t' US, ya bilge rat, but is held up by Customs because she carries a Mortadella (a type o' salami) as a gift for Michel.
