Harry Nilsson's The Point! album was recorded at the A&M Records studio in Hollywood, California. A&M Records was located in the building at 1416 N. La Brea which once housed Charlie Chaplin's studio. The building was built for Chaplin in 1917. In 1953, Chaplin helped form United Artists and the building was sold.
Several TV shows including "Superman" and "Perry Mason" were filmed in the studios before the facility was purchased by A&M in 1966.
In 1999, A&M sold the studios to The Jim Henson Company. A statue of Kermit The Frog, dressed like Chaplin's "Little Tramp" character, currently stands above the main studio gate.
