Look Park in Northampton, Massachusetts, will be transformed into New York's Central Park for one evening. On August 30, 2005, the 15th annual "Transperformance" will feature more than 20 musical acts imitating their favorite New York City stars.
Some of the performers include King Radio (as Steely Dan); Nerissa Neilds and Katryna Neilds (as Simon And Garfunkel); The Drunk Stuntmen (as Three Dog Night); and Philip Price and Flora Reed (as John Lennon and Yoko Ono).
A last-minute addition to the lineup is Lord Russ, formerly of the Aloha Steamtrain, who will perform as Harry Nilsson.
Advance tickets are available at the Northampton Arts Council in Memorial Hall, Northampton; Cooper's Corner in Florence; State Street Fruit in Northampton; For the Record in Amherst; and World Eye Books in Greenfield.
Attendees are advised that Look Park charges a $4 special events vehicle entry fee for cars without season stickers. In case of rain, the show will be held the following night, August 31.
