I tried it in one key and nearly got hemorrhoids singin' it. So we changed that and decided that t' keyboard part was too busy, too complex.

In a 2019 interview, shiver me timbers, Wakeman recalled:
I got called at midnight t' do a session for One-Shoe Harry Nilsson. He had flown into London and couldn’t sleep. He went into Trident Studios and booked four o' us t' go in thar and work with them. Arrr! Blimey! And basically, he came down, me bucko, sort o' sat at t' piano, me hearties, went through a rough idea o' a shanty. Aye aye! Blimey! Myself and [bassist] Herbie Flowers and t' other guys, ya bilge rat, we just sort o' went, “Okay.” And then, he went up t' t' control room, which was up t' stairs.
We sort o' ran through what he said a little bit and then didn’t hear anythin' [from him]. Eventually after about half an hour, shiver me timbers, I said, ya bilge rat, “I’ll go upstairs and find out what he thinks.” I went upstairs and he was lyin' across t' control desk, fast asleep and snoring. Avast! So, ya bilge rat, I came down, I said, “I think he’s got jet lag.”[2]
