Terry Southern and Harry Nilsson created a musical parody of King Kong called King Dong.[1]

 

A 69-page draft of "King Dong! A Sophisticated New Musical Comedy" is in the New York Library's archive of Terry Southern's papers along with a few excerpts and updates.
