Josh Ryan Evans was born on January 10, 1982, in Hayward, California. He died on August 6, 2002.

From 1999 until 2002, Evans played "Timmy," a doll which comes to life, in NBC's daytime soap opera Passions.

In 2002, Evans was admitted to a San Diego hospital for treatment of a congenital heart condition. While doctors considered whether to perform heart surgery, Evans died.

A short time later, Harry Nilsson's performance of "Remember (Christmas)" was used in an episode of the TV show during a montage in memory of the late "Timmy Lenox" and the actor who played him.
