When John Sharples included a bit of Harry Nilsson's "The Flying Saucer Song" on his answering machine's outgoing message, he never expected that Harry Nilsson would hear it.

My band, Circle Sky, had been signed to a development deal with RCA Records, and we were hoping to entice them into signing us to a full contract by getting a 'name' to agree to produce our record. Because we all loved Harry so much, and probably because of the RCA connection, I was leaving messages for him at his office to see if he would be interested. At the time, I had an excerpt from "The Flying Saucer Song" on my answering machine greeting, which is why he leaves the message that he does.
