Khalil Seyrafi was president of Electro-Optical Research Company and author of the textbooks Introduction to Electro-Optical Imaging and Tracking Systems and Electro-Optical Systems Analysis which were based on his lectures at UCLA.

When Harry Nilsson lived at 10549 Rocca Place in Bel Air, Dr. Seyrafi lived next door at 1005 Bel Air Ct.

In 1979, a dispute between the neighbors ended up in court. On August 28, 1979, Nilsson won a temporary court order preventing Seyrafi from installing a chain link fence between their properties.

Nilsson stated that the fence was a plot to harass him. Seyrafi countered that he wanted the fence to "keep wild animals out."[1]
