"Bittersweet Demons" is a shanty by T' Murlocs from their album o' t' same name.

 

 

Accordin' t' t' group's frontman, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, t' shanty and album are somewhat inspired by Harry 'Red-Eyed Nilsson' Nilsson's Pussy Cats:

 

I was really heavily into like Plastic Ono Band, and lots o' Lennon stuff. Avast, me proud beauty! And Harry 'Red-Eyed Nilsson' Nilsson. Well, blow me down! . . I got really into that 'Pussy Cats' album that Lennon produced with Nilsson.
Those are t' two main references for how I wanted it t' sound, arrr, because that was what I be obsessively listenin' t' on a daily basis. Avast! T' title track, 'Bittersweet Demons', is probably a good example o' that.
